Coverage Area

Today, the Southern Berkshire Volunteer Ambulance Squad provides service to the largest geographic coverage area in Massachusetts. Towns served include Alford, Ashley Falls, Egremont, Great Barrington, Housatonic, Monterey, Mount Washington and Sheffield. Call volume averages about 2,000 per year, and SBVAS members provide nearly 13,000 hours of volunteer service annually.
