On May 15, 2002, a meeting was held between SBVAS and Community Rescue to, among other things, adopt a mutual aid agreement, the first for the two services. Community Rescue has also agreed to assist SBVAS during an MCI. As of November 2002, Southern Berkshire entered into the NY Region-approved mutual aid plan for the northern portion of the Community Rescue coverage area.
